Please explain to me how this person is going to be any good for the American people, or for anyone else. How can an obscenely rich man understand a struggling family with bills to pay and a small income to do it with? It’s not just that. It’s a man that has offended about 80% of Americans: women, blacks, Latinos, Muslims… basically anyone who differs from the stereotyped 50’s American dream vision.
He claims that he’s not an establishment candidate, but of course, he means that in a political sense. In a financial sense, he IS the establishment: Middle aged white man, rich from the cradle, a trust fund child. He’s never known what it is to lack anything.
Yet, many average citizens back him and his ‘policies’, although they will not benefit from them. He appeals to their sense of dignity and unless they are going hungry, they’d rather have pride than money.
That is a worthy cause for reflection. How, in this material world, all that’s left to common people is not being last in line.
That’s what #TheDonald sells them.
That’s what the Establishment sells them.
It’s ok that you’re not rich.
At least you’re not black.
At least you’re not a woman.
At least you’re not an immigrant.
At least you’re not the lowest scum of the Earth.
You’re our scum, so we’ll protect you. You’ll always be one step above true scum.

In the end, perhaps it’s true that money isn’t everything, even in corporate capitalism.
Or perhaps it’s true that money can compensate for just about all there is. A rich man convincing poor people that it’s ok to hate because they will be lifted above by the mere fact of their similarity to the rich, which is only skin deep.
In the end, a rich man’s money is buying poor people’s will in exchange for the crumbs of their own dignity.

    1. It’s so obvious that this man has no respect, apart from no clear policies. He will not benefit the American people or the world. He may, in fact, speed up the possibility of a war.
